What exactly is Studio164?
Studio164 is a nonprofit organization (501c3) whose mission is to maintain safe, low-cost meeting spaces for addiction recovery groups. We welcome all 12-Step meetings, Dharma Recovery meetings, SMART recovery meetings, and other addiction recovery support groups. Studio164’s space can also be rented for events.
How do I start a meeting or book the space for a special event?
If you are interested in using Studio164 to start a meeting or book an event, please contact Greg by phone (605 418 0492). Be sure to include the dates/times of your meeting/event. If you cannot get ahold of Greg, contact us here.
How does paying rent for meetings work?
For recurring recovery-based meetings, 85% of collected donations (typically called 7th tradition) is to be put in a donation envelope (located next to the safe). Fill out and seal the envelope before dropping it into the safe. To do so, you must slide out the small drawer on the top of the safe. PULL THE DRAWER ALL THE WAY OUT to see the slot. Please don't place envelopes on the underside of the drawer (they will not deposit).
I noticed an error on the website schedule - what should I do?
Let us know so we can fix it. Click here to send us a note. Thanks for keeping us on our toes!
What do I do if something is broken or there's no toilet paper?
If something needs to be restocked or fixed (out of toilet paper, broken locker, vending machine problem, zoom issues, etc.), please send Greg a text so we can address the issue: (602-418-0492). If you cannot get ahold of Greg, contact us here.
What is a board of directors?
The Studio is run by a group of volunteers called The Board of Directors. We get together to ensure safe operations of the space. If you would like to become a member of the board, please email your name, contact information, reason for interest, service resume, and any other pertinent information to: studio164recovery@gmail.com. You can also submit them here. Elections are held every March, but new members can be added throughout the year if there are open positions.
I want to volunteer - who should I call?
That's great - we'd love to have your help! Send us an email and we'll get back to you ASAP. Thanks!
